Building a community brand for the City of Bellevue, KY

Nestled on the Ohio River just across downtown Cincinnati, Bellevue, Kentucky is rich in history and culture. The river town boasts a vibrant downtown and serves as a home to a variety of locals and guests. The city partnered with YARD to refresh its city seal and build a brand identity that both residents and visitors could identify with. By focusing on the city’s unique past and its relationship to the river, we created a community brand that promotes civic pride amongst Bellevue residents while also offering a timeless approach to the brand of the city.  

PROBLEM

The previous brand was outdated and only able to be used by the city government.

SOLUTION

Refresh the city seal and develop the brand identity and architecture to include a community brand that builds civic pride.  

ACTION

A brand package that includes a refreshed city seal and a new community logo.
