Maumee, OH
A TEN-YEAR ROADMAP TO ENHANCE LIVABILITY, STRENGTHEN NEIGHBORHOODS, AND CREATE VIBRANT PUBLIC SPACES
Maumee, Ohio is charting its course for the next decade with the Maumee Community Master Plan, a comprehensive vision driven by extensive public engagement and strategic action.
Yard & Company, in collaboration with Beckett & Raeder, Fourth Economy, and DGL, developed this plan to enhance Maumee’s livability, strengthen neighborhood identities, and create dynamic public spaces. The planning process incorporated feedback from hundreds of residents through surveys, workshops, and online platforms, shaping five core objectives focused on building for neighborliness, expanding gathering places, and activating civic spaces.
This master plan provides a clear roadmap with short, medium, and long-term tasks, emphasizing immediate action in the first year through initiatives like establishing an Uptown Farmers Market, prioritizing sidewalk repairs, and supporting neighborhood beautification. The plan aims to foster a more connected, prosperous, and sustainable city while preserving Maumee’s unique character and values.
The Maumee Master Plan was recommended to Maumee City Council for approval in November 2025 and was adopted in January 2026.
