Forge Laramie

TURNING COMMUNITY INPUT INTO A SHARED COMPREHENSIVE PLAN FOR GROWTH

The Yard & Company team worked with Clarion and the City of Laramie to support Forge Laramie, a comprehensive planning process focused on how the city grows over the next 20 years. The project included a public-facing brand, communications materials, online engagement tools, in-person outreach, survey design, mapping activities, and interactive displays that helped residents connect big planning topics to everyday life. Early engagement generated more than 1,300 social map posts and 800 survey responses, revealing clear priorities around downtown vitality, safer connections, outdoor access, protecting natural places, community spaces, housing, and growth. Yard helped translate that input into accessible public materials, including the Forge Exchange, a temporary engagement space designed to make conversations about housing, economic development, downtown, and retail corridors easier to understand and respond to. The work helped move the plan from broad input toward shared direction, draft recommendations, and public validation.
